We are thrilled to officially welcome Jacquelyn as a family law paralegal at the Law Office of Tiffany Dust. After supporting the firm for the past year as an independent contract paralegal, Jacquelyn is now stepping into a permanent role as our firm continues to grow in response to increasing client demand. As Attorney Tiffany Dust continues to earn recognition as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for her work in high-conflict divorce, child custody, and parenting time matters in Minnesota, expanding our legal support team ensures we can continue delivering the high level of service our clients deserve.

Jacquelyn’s extensive experience in the field of family law in Minnesota began with her sincere passion for supporting families through some of the most challenging times in their lives. Her professional background includes a dynamic blend of independent contract work, legal clerkships, and multiple internships—all centered around family law in Minnesota. She has also contributed behind the scenes to the development of innovative legal support technology, giving her a forward-thinking edge in an evolving legal landscape.

Jacquelyn received her Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law (now known as Mitchell Hamline School of Law) where she interned as a Certified Student Attorney in the Child Protection Clinic, a program focused on advocating for parents after their children have been removed from their homes.  During this time, she developed a passion for helping parents through numerous challenges they face in the legal system in Minnesota. She honed her advocacy skills while appearing in numerous hearings before judges and developed legal strategies for reaching resolution in mediation. In addition to her internship in the Child Protection Clinic, she also served as a Certified Student Attorney in the First Judicial District Public Defender’s Office in Shakopee, Minnesota. Here, Jacquelyn represented clients facing arraignment and probation violation hearings where she gained valuable insight on advocating for her client’s rights in the courtroom.

Paralegal

Jacquelyn continued honing her skills in family law by interning for the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), Minnesota Chapter, where she actively engaged in the annual Divorce Camp Planning Committee. During this time, she helped create content for course curriculum (including Continued Legal Education courses) focused on bridging a diverse set of professionals including family law attorneys, mental health professionals, guardian ad litems, and others together in Minnesota. In addition, she interned with a well-established and top mid-size Minnesota family law firm, where she gained valuable skills for matters involving complex family law litigation inclusive of high-conflict matters and high-net worth value cases.

These diverse and meaningful experiences have shaped Jacquelyn’s nuanced understanding of both the legal and emotional complexities that define family law cases. Her exposure to court systems across multiple Minnesota counties gives her a comprehensive view of the judicial process, and she approaches each case with compassion, clarity, and a commitment to supporting clients during what is often one of the most emotionally taxing periods in their lives. Jacquelyn is particularly attuned to the challenges presented by contested divorce, child custody disputes, parenting time disagreements, and other high-conflict family law matters, making her an invaluable asset to the firm and to the families we serve.
